Hello, I would like to check with the team on the following items:
How can I trigger the generation of audit logs? I’ve been creating, modifying, and deleting credentials, devices, and users, as well as rejecting and approving approval requests, but my audit logs remain empty.
I’d like to check with the team if there’s a way for the Requester or another Approver to cancel a pending approval workflow. This would be in cases where the Requester notices an error or if the designated Approver account is temporarily unavailable, assuming only one Approver is assigned to the workflow (worst case scenario). What solution is advisable.
Kindly advise. Many thanks!
Regarding the items mentioned, here is our guidance:
Regarding the issue of generating audit logs, it is important to note that the Audit Logs indicated do not display the desired information.
We recommend accessing the Reports section and then Events → Audit Tracking, where you will be able to view the logs relevant to the actions of creating, modifying and deleting credentials, devices and users, as well as approvals and rejections of requests.
Regarding the possibility of canceling a pending approval workflow, we inform you that an approver has the authority to perform the removal of the workflow. If the requester has the permission configured to approve their own requests, they can also cancel their respective request. To adjust the self-approval settings, we recommend consulting the specified link for more details on this procedure.
In response to your question, Audit Logs typically display application-specific logs. However, for detailed information on the creation, modification, and deletion of credentials, devices, and users, as well as approvals and rejections of requests, it is recommended to check the Reports section under “Events” and “Audit Tracking” as mentioned earlier.
