Implementing a Password Policy for local users from PAM

Password policies for local users of senhasegura can be adjusted to define the desired attributes and parameters. These include password complexity, password expiration, and password length.

To configure the password policy, follow the steps below:

  1. Access Grid Menu.
  2. Go to Settings → System Parameters → Security.

Here, you can adjust several parameters according to your organization’s needs and security standards. Effective management of password policies is crucial for information security and preventing unauthorized access to the system.

Hi, could you please let me know where I can configure the minimum and maximum password length for device credentials, such as the user accounts of a specific target system (not the local Senhasegura user)?
Doesn’t seem to be in the Settings > Password Strength and Settings > Credential Policy.

Thanks

Hello Miki Low Guan Yee,

You must access the following path within the solution:
PAM Core → Settings → Credentials → Password Strength
There, you can define complexity criteria.

If you have any further questions, we are available to assist you.

Best regards.

Hi Jade Ariel Galindo Cunha, as advised I had access to the following path: PAM Core → Settings → Credentials → Password Strength but there is no option on configuring the minimum and maximum password length for device credentials.
Kindly advise.

Thanks.

Hello Miki Low Guan Yee,

There is no minimum and maximum, Segura changes the password based on this policy, so if you configure like:
3 lowercase
3 uppercase
3 numbers
3 symbols

When Segura executes a password change it will apply the password with the specified above, and the password will have 12 characters.
It will always follow this policy.

Best regards.

Hi Jade Ariel Galindo Cunha,
Thanks for the clarification! Appreciate it.

Cheers.
