How to Validate if a Windows Server has an LDAPS Connection

  • Open PowerShell with administrator privileges and type the command ‘ldp’, then press Enter.

  • In the new window, go to Connection → Connect….

  • Enter the host, port 636, check the SSL option, and click OK.

  • If the configuration is correct, a connection log to the server via LDAPS will be displayed.
