To create an approval workflow for video viewing, follow the steps described below:

  1. Enable the approval workflow option for video viewing:

    • Settings > System Parameters > System Parameters > Remote Session enable the “Enable approval for session videos?” option and click “Save”

  2. Register an approver for the PAM module:

    • Settings > System Parameters > Approvers

  3. Once configured, your session video viewing requests will be located in:

    • PAM > Session Video Requests:

Is it possible to create multi-level approval workflow for session recording?

Yes, as of version 4.0, it is possible to configure multi-level approval workflows within the approval flow settings.
This includes the session recording approval flow — meaning you can require approvals before someone is allowed to view recorded sessions.

Hello Jade,
thanks for your feedback. From my understanding I cannot define a specific multi-level approval workflow exclusively for sesssion recording access but instead only one approval workflow that is applied to all approval workflows inside PAM Core modul.
That is in my opinion not a good design decision. We only need multi-level approval for the session recording due gdpr requirements, but single-level approval for certain operational tasks inside of PAM Core module.
