Last time I built a cluster was using 4.2.2 version. However, building from 4.2.7 version after updating the VM appliance, Orbit commands look different in this version at the point of cluster creation. All my notes based on published documentation are obsolete - Documentation: How to manage a cluster .
Can we have instructions here and documents updated with current commands?
Itâs just guesswork on my part, but I think the most commonly used cluster commands have been moved to the âorbit cluster galeraâ subcommand.
Some âorbit elasticsearchâ commands also seem to have moved to become a general âorbit clusterâ subcommand.
The intention seems to be to differentiate more clearly between cluster components (DB, Elastic, Key, etc.), which I very much welcome. However, the lack of documentation (or any communication about this in the release notes) is unnecessarily time-consuming.
In my opinion, documentation is one thing that Segura urgently needs to improve, so +1 for your request.
Also - My test cluster has had some issues since around version 4.2.5 (Galera errors appear in the logs): 2026-06-29 14:59:00 0 [Note] WSREP: Failed to establish connection: unexpected EOF while reading (SSL routines)). What have been your experiences?
I completely agree. The documentation definitely needs improvement. In many cases, it only provides a brief description of a menu item without explaining its actual purpose, real-world use cases, or best practices. It would also benefit greatly from more visual content, such as screenshots and configuration examples.
Regarding the cluster, Iâm experiencing the same issue. Both the UI and CLI show that the cluster is healthy and report no cluster errors, but in reality there is a communication issue between the nodes, and the cluster is not functioning properly.
